H1N1 Update: October 28, 2009

H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic

This event is for STUDENTS ONLY!

Shots to prevent the H1N1 (swine) flu will be given on campus on Thursday, October 29 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The walk-in clinic will be held at The Underground space, located next door to the North Park Postal Center.

A donation of $5.00 (cash preferred) is requested. Funds collected will be donated to Global Partnerships and for the enhancement of the campus Rest and Relaxation rooms.

For more information about the vaccine, please read this document prepared by the Center for Disease Control.

Because Health Services has received a limited amount of vaccine doses this event is limited to students only at this time. Groups recommended to receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine are:

• Anyone on campus 17 – 24 years of age
• Pregnant women
• People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age
• People with chronic conditions such as respiratory diseases, diabetes, immune deficiency
• Health care and emergency medical personnel
