Office of the Provost Staff

The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences is housed in the Office of the Provost.  The Dean serves as the executive dean and chief advisor to the Provost.  He is responsible for all academic programs in the absence of the Provost.  The Dean of the College has a number of university-wide duties that impact all academic programs.

In addition to his role as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Peterson also serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Scandinavian Studies and a professor of Communication Arts.

The Provost is the chief academic officer with the responsibility for all educational programs and offerings in the University, outside the Seminary.  Those duties include responsibility for academic policies, faculty affairs and personnel matters.  He ensures all educational programs and offerings are consistent with the mission, vision and values of North Park University.  The Provost supervises ten direct reports that include seven Deans, two Directors and one Associate Dean.

Robert Stanley performs research and evaluation activities of the university’s academic and administrative programs. Also, provides leadership in developing an institutional assessment and accreditation protocol, serving as liaison with accrediting bodies, conducting research on a wide range of issues to support decision-making and strategic planning, establishing and maintaining data sets involving faculty, students and staff, and creates system for organizing and communicating data.

The Administrative Assistant coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Provost and Dean. Organizes special events; Honors Convocation, faculty retirement reception, adjunct faculty orientation, new faculty orientation, etc.
