Accounting and/or Finance Professor
The School of Business and Nonprofit Management seeks applications for a full-time faculty position in Accounting and/or Finance who will be responsible to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Rank dependent upon qualifications. Masters in the area of accounting or finance with extensive work experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate. An interest in and ability to teach nonprofit accounting or finance is a plus. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to active involvement in professional associations and service to the university community.

School of Education
Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Coordinator
The School of Education seeks a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (MAEL) Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the MAEL program.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervisor of Program
·
Monitor all aspects of the MAEL program.
·
Ensure that courses comply with ISBE requirements and approved program plan.
·
Advise students regarding sequence of coursework and develop program plan.
·
Oversee field experiences of MAEL candidates.
Instructional Delivery and Supervision
·
Teach at least half-time each year.
·
Supervise all instruction including adjuncts.
Strategic Marketing
·
Support the graduate admissions office in marketing MAEL program and cohorts.
·
Assist in advertising for cohorts.
·
Visit schools and districts to market MAEL program.
Budget Manager
·
Coordinate budget for MAEL Program with SOE Dean.
Essential Qualifications:
·
Ed.D. or Ph.D. in educational leadership, administration, or related field.
·
Experience as a school administrator in the State of Illinois.
·
Higher education experience preferred.

School of Music
Director of Choral Music
School of Music seeks applicants for a full-time director of choral music with a terminal degreewith emphasis in choral conducting, ability to teach choral music education courses, evidence of professional level choral conducting and pedagogy desired, and strong competency in core choral genres and repertoire.
Tenure track, salary and rank commensurate with academic credentials and experience. Appointment to begin August 2010.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Direct University Choir (50+ mixed choir) that performs both on and off campus
- Teach elementary and secondary general and choral music education courses
- Supervise choral music education students during their semester of student teaching
- Other departmental assignments as assigned and other teaching assignments relevant to the candidate’s background and expertise may include aural skills, music history, and music theory.
Other:
- Coordinate and tour with the choir on domestic and foreign tours
- Initiate and coordinate fundraising activities for touring when necessary (Domestic tours occur annually during spring break or at the beginning of summer except when a foreign tour is scheduled. Foreign tours occur approximately once every four years.)
- Develop and oversee an artistic vision for the annual Christmas concert in correlation with all campus musical ensembles and Office of Development.
- Be responsible for the bi-annual oratorio chorus and opera chorus as needed.
- Coordinate all choral ensembles; Women’s Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Gospel Choir
- Be an active recruiter for the Music Department which includes: conducting clinics, and developing relationships with directors and students.
- Engage and remain active in the Chicago choral community
- Mentor and advise students, develop curriculum, conduct research and serve the department, college, university, and the community
- Maintain active involvement in choral professional organizations

The Music Department currently has 5 full-time faculty members offering Bachelor of Music degrees (B.M.) in Music Education and Performance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (B.A.). The Music Department offers a Master of Music in Vocal Performance (M.M.V.P) as well. Currently pending approval are the Bachelor of Music in Music in Worship, Bachelor of Music in Composition, and the Master of Music in Collaborative Piano (M.M.C.P.). The School of Music, with approximately 80 majors, is fully accredited by NASM and the Higher Learning Commission.

School of Nursing
Nurse Practitioner Faculty (graduate)
We are seeking faculty to teach in the Nurse Practitioner option (full-time or part-time). There is a possible option for a joint appointment at a local hospital.
Minimum requirements are certification as an ANP or FNP, licensed in Illinois as an Advanced Practice Nurse, with a Master’s degree in nursing. Doctorate (PhD or DNP) is preferred. We are also seeking Master’s prepared faculty to teach in the Undergraduate pre-licensure and RN-completion programs. Candidates with doctoral preparation (or doctoral candidates) are preferred. The priority areas include teaching community health nursing, and Maternal-child nursing (Nursing care of the child bearing family).
Director of Nursing Graduate Program
We are seeking a doctorally prepared nurse leader to serve as Director of the Nursing Graduate program. This is a growing program that offers a Master of Science degree with a major in nursing. The graduate options include Adult Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Community Health Specialist, and Leadership and Management, as well as the dual MS/MBA degree.
