John has worked in several communication roles, and is experienced in news writing, news reporting, crisis communication, communication planning, public relations, and teaching. Most recently, he was news director for the churchwide organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Prior to that, he was a communication specialist with the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center. John has also worked in newspapers, radio, and television news. He is accredited in public relations (APR), and is a volunteer board member for the Publicity Club of Chicago and the Public Relations Society of America, Chicago.

Rebecca (Becky) Dangel joined the University Marketing & Communications staff in 2008. She has a bachelor’s degree in evangelism/discipleship from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and has had a variety of job experiences in customer service and print advertising over the past six years. She is currently pursuing a marketing certificate at North Park’s School of Business & Nonprofit Management to enhance her project management and marketing skills. Outside of work, Becky co-leads a women’s small group at her church and enjoys living in the Ravenswood neighborhood.

Megan graduated from North Park University in May 2005, and has worked in several ministries across the Evangelical Covenant Church, including at Alaska Christian College and in the Sustaining Pastoral Excellence initiative at Covenant Offices. Megan previously worked in the Communications Office at North Park, and returned in Summer 2011. She will complete a dual master's degree in Christian ministry and nonprofit business from North Park Theological Seminary in December 2012.

Marcia comes to North Park after more than a decade of working in advertising agencies. In her previous roles she assisted clients such as Pillsbury, Toyota Motor Sales USA, and CVS/pharmacy in their efforts to attract and retain U.S. Hispanic customers. She enjoys the strategic and creative process from beginning to end, but lives for the teamwork and measurable results. Marcia has resided in Chicago since 2005, and is quite at home in her adopted city.

Nate came to North Park in 2010 with an arsenal of experience in higher education enrollment, communications, and marketing. He previously worked at organizations including the Austen Group, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals, and as the Director of Admissions at his alma mater, John Brown University. Nate and his wife, Dr. Kristin Russell Mouttet, live in the North Park neighborhood with their son.

Scott began working at North Park in 2007. He first worked in Information Technology and transitioned over to the web team full time in 2011. Scott keeps the website humming and works to improve integration with other systems, overall functionality, and the user experience.

Brian joins the University Marketing and Communications staff after serving for three years as director of communications at Laurelville Mennonite Church Center in Western Pennsylvania. He previously lived in Chicago from 2004–2008 and taught in the early childhood education program at Erie Neighborhood House, a social service agency based in West Town. Brian and his wife, Maria, live southwest of campus in the Albany Park neighborhood.

John joined the UMC team in 2012. Prior to that, he had worked for the University's School of Adult Learning, as well as Bread for the World in Washington, D.C. John graduated from North Park, where he had served as a student editor of Hands On magazine, in 2005. He has written for, among others, The Onion's A.V. Club, Sojourners magazine, and the American Psychological Association. He is currently pursuing a certificate in Film Studies. John and his wife (and fellow North Park alumnus), Jenny, live in Bucktown.
