Career Development Office

Faculty and Staff Resources

We provide a variety of tools and resources to support your efforts to educate students about the career and graduate school options available to them. We invite you to partner with us to learn more about how to implement our career development services in ways that benefit your students and enhance their educational experience.

Career Services on Demand

We offer remote and in-person career development workshops to your classes on a variety of topics, including resume development, internships, networking, and more. If you are interested in having our staff present, please contact our office.

Career Advantage and Faculty

Career Advantage is our new four-year program designed to help students become ready for a competitive job market. It works in tandem with academic planning guides and gives students the ability to figure out a career path that is right for them. We encourage advisors to promote this comprehensive program to all students. For program information, please contact Evie Peterson.

Internship Assistance

Our office facilitates student participation in North Park University’s academic internship program.

Internship Deadlines

Each student is responsible for executing all forms in their entirety.

Student Internship Eligibility Form Deadlines:

  • Students may not add an internship course after the first week of class.

Memorandum of Agreement Deadline:

This agreement is due to the Career Development Office before a student begins an internship, ideally in the first week of classes for the semester. Please note, this form ensures that the student receives academic credit for the experience.

Faculty Sponsor Narrative Deadline:

The narrative work sheet is due to the Career Development Office at same time as all other grades are due—the Wednesday after finals week. Internship objectives/goals and final paper/project are due at the same time, and the narrative cover sheet should be signed by the appropriate dean or divisional chair.
