Meet the Summer Staff

You will meet friendly teachers, staff people, and other students when you arrive at North Park.

Dr. Kristin Lems is the Director of ESL Programs. She coordinates the program and will teach a course. You can easily contact Dr. Lems by email.

Dr. Jen Pope is our International Student Advisor. You may recognize her name because she is one of the people who wrote your I-20 and mailed you information about North Park. You will meet her on the first day of the program.

You will meet the Provost, Dr. Joseph Jones, who will welcome you at the orientation. You will also meet other staff from North Park at a lunch reception we will have on the first day of the program.

The teachers in the program will be confirmed later in the spring. They are highly professional ESL teachers who love the summer program and also love to learn and play in Chicago! North Park University students will accompany you on field trips and lead other activities — they will be involved with the program at different times during the summer.

There will be other people to meet, too. Don't worry if you can't remember all these names. You will have five weeks to get to know everyone in the program!
