The staff in North Park’s Office of Distributed Learning brings years of experience dedicated to the field of online teaching and learning. Through their advanced studies of online technologies and learning pedagogies, the Office of Distributed Learning supports students with their online learning experience and assists faculty in the development and creation of engaging high-quality online courses.

Allyson Dickie Associate Dean of Distributed Learning Phone: (773) 244-6287 Sohlberg Hall, BSMT Campus Box: 55 Allyson’s professional career spans more than 30 years in higher education administration with particular emphasis on bringing innovations via technology to both administrative processes and academic coursework. She has served previously in the Records Offices at Brown University and Rhode Island College, as a computer programmer at Rhode Island College, and as manager of academic computing at Rhode Island College. In 2001, as a seminary student, she was appointed to be the Director of Distance Learning for the seminary. In 2005, she was appointed as Associate Dean to establish a new Office of Distributed Learning to oversee the development of online and hybrid learning programs across the university as well as the seminary. She has earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Business Administration degree. Currently she is working on her dissertation to complete a PhD in Education with a particular focus on online teaching and learning. She loves her work because there is always something new on the horizon! |
Jennifer Henrikson Quality Matters Program Coordinator Phone: (773) 244-6209 Sohlberg Hall, BSMT Campus Box: 55 Jenny Henrikson has a master of science in education and taught in the classroom for several years. She joined the Office of Distributed Learning at its inception in 2005. She greatly enjoys her work helping to sustain as well as grow the number of high quality online and hybrid course offerings at North Park. |
Kathleen O'Donoghue Instructional Design Specialist ( Distributed Learning) Phone: (773) 244-4991 Sohlberg Hall, BSMT Campus Box: 55 Kathleen has recently returned to North Park to join the staff of the Office of Distributed Learning, after previously serving as the Associate Director of Field Education at the Seminary for a number of years. She has almost 30 years of experience in the field of education and has been both a student and facilitator of online education for the past decade. Kathleen has a BS in education, earned a master of divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary, and is presently completing her dissertation, after which she will receive her PhD in education with an emphasis in professional studies. She is looking forward to working with the North Park faculty in the development of their online courses and being part of the vibrant University community. |
Michael Villanueva Technology Support Coordinator (distributed Learning) Phone: (773) 244-6204 Sohlberg Hall, BSMT Campus Box: 55 Michael Villanueva started working at the Office of Distributed Learning in January 2008. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He enjoys providing technical assistance for Moodle to students and faculty alike, science fiction, and helping out at his church. |
