North Park University Benefits
Since 1891, North Park University has been a recognized leader providing high-quality education to individuals seeking to advance their knowledge and skills. This commitment has endured into our second century, and in 2009 North Park University was again named “One of America’s Best” by U.S. News and World Report.
Finishing your bachelor’s degree at North Park University's School of Adult Learning (SAL) can provide you the skills, knowledge, and credential to help advance your career and increase your earning potential.
Make an Immediate Impact
You’ll experience benefits from your SAL education starting the moment you step into your first class. You’ll gain relevant skills and knowledge that you can implement immediately in your workplace and personal pursuits. Your increased confidence and ability to provide greater contributions at work can lead to promotions, salary increases, and greater personal fulfillment
Academic Credentials Matter
In the knowledge economy, academic credentials matter. Finishing your bachelor’s degree can help provide career stability during economic downturns and lead to greater career opportunities. Research demonstrates those who possess a bachelor’s degree earn on average $1 million more during their career than those who don’t.
Prepare for the Future
Your bachelor’s degree from North Park University is excellent preparation for graduate school, and many SAL alumni go on to pursue their graduate education here as well. The graduate programs in the School of Business and Nonprofit Management and North Park Theological Seminary may grant advanced standing to SAL graduates who major in:
Here's how SAL graduate Mikhail Gutin puts it:
“After finishing my bachelor’s degree in the School of Adult Learning, I immediately began my MBA at North Park. Five graduate courses were waived because of my SAL degree, and in less than two years I will complete my MBA. North Park made the process seamless.”
Finish Faster
SAL students are able to finish their degrees more quickly (and save money) due to several unique features of the program:
- SAL’s academic calendar offers six terms per year, allowing you take courses throughout the year
- Because SAL courses are seven weeks long, you can complete more courses in a short amount of time
- You may obtain up to 20 semester hours of credit through prior life experience
