Transfer Credit
To obtain a bachelor’s degree at North Park University requires that you complete a minimum of 120 semester hours. You may transfer in a maximum of 60 semester hours of college credit from community colleges, and up to 90 hours of credit from four-year institutions.
It’s easy to have your transcripts evaluated. Simply fax or send your transcripts to Leslie Bertholdt, Assistant Director of Admissions, for a free unofficial transcript evaluation. Once your transcripts have been evaluated, Leslie will let you know how much credit will transfer to North Park. She can also provide you with estimates of how long it will take to finish your degree and how much it will cost. Fax copies of your transcripts to Leslie at (773) 279-7522.
If you are studying at an Illinois community college and considering North Park, contact your academic advisor at your current institution. North Park has transfer-credit agreements with many Illinois community colleges, and you may use these agreements to ensure that coursework you take will transfer to North Park. If you are accepted to the School of Adult Learning (SAL), you will receive an advising letter from our advising staff. Your advising letter will detail coursework transferred to North Park, as well as coursework required to complete your bachelor’s degree. Should you decide to enroll in SAL, you must submit official transcripts (if you have not already) prior to the end of your first semester.
