Finish Your Bachelor's Degree

Now is the time to finish your bachelor’s degree at North Park University. With an undergraduate degree from a fully accredited university, you will be able to greatly improve your job prospects, advance in your current career, or switch to a new field. We know that a college degree has been your goal for years, but family and work obligations have made it difficult to go back to school. Through the School of Adult Learning (SAL), North Park provides a fast, convenient, and affordable way to earn a degree that will open doors and increase your earning potential.

North Park is Fast

SAL courses are accelerated, meeting just four hours a week — evenings, weekends, or online. Each course is only seven weeks long. By taking between four and eight courses a year, most SAL students finish their bachelor’s degree in 2.5 years, depending on transfer credit. Transfer as many as 90 semester hours from any accredited institution of higher learning, including community college.

North Park is Convenient

SAL designed for busy working adults. The application process is easy and new classes start every two months. Flexibility is built right in. You can choose to take classes at two different campus locations, or complete some (or all) of your courses online. Online courses are asynchronous, meaning you complete coursework on your own schedule. Traditional classes meet during evenings and weekends. Both campuses have student parking and are convenient to public transportation.

North Park is Affordable

The cost of finishing your degree at North Park is affordable and easy to calculate. SAL students pay a discounted $500 per credit and most courses are four credits. For a bachelor’s degree, you will need 120 credits, but you can transfer up to 90 credits from another institution. The good news is that every SAL student is eligible for financial aid and scholarships, including 20% discounts for graduates of many Chicago community and city colleges.

Credit for Prior Learning

At North Park, we recognize the value of life experience. By completing a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), you can earn credit for work experience, professional training, certification, licensure, or any other source. We also accept AP and military credit.

Advising and Support

At North Park, you’re not left on your own. Every SAL student is assigned a professional academic advisor to help you formulate a graduation plan and see it through to completion. Your advisor will help you choose and register for courses, and connect you with important campus resources like financial aid and career services. Advisors are available on both campuses during the same convenient hours as your classes.
