- 12 hours of adult learning core courses
- 40 hours of general-education courses
- 40 hours of major coursework

We will evaluate all of your previous college credit, and the credit that transfers to North Park will be applied to these requirement areas, so you will know precisely what coursework remains to complete your degree.
Many students begin with adult learning core courses, which help prepare them for advanced coursework in their major. After finishing their major courses, students complete any remaining general education or elective courses that are required.
In the School of Adult Learning (SAL), you have the choice of pursuing either of two bachelor’s degrees:
- Bachelor of General Studies
- Bachelor of Arts
Both are liberal-arts bachelor's degrees, and both are fully accredited and equally valuable in today’s job market. The degree that is best for you will depend on your previous academic history, current interests, and career goals. When you apply to the School of Adult Learning, we will evaluate your transfer credit for both sets of degree requirements, allowing you to compare and make an informed decision about your academic goals.
Regardless of what type of degree you choose, you choose which major you wish to pursue. SAL majors include:
Business Administration
Church and Ministry Management
Counseling and Social Services
Criminal Justice
