The Center for Youth Ministry Studies at North Park University

Center for Youth Ministry Studies

Fostering excellence in the study of youth & adolescent culture. The Center for Youth Ministry Studies is a unique partnership of North Park University, North Park Theological Seminary, and the Department of Christian Formation of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

CYMS Vision: To create a multi-cultural, multi-ethic, multi-economical, & diverse mindset, worldview, life ethos, and theology within the youth ministry major. In addition, we will strive to create and maintain progressive, radical, cutting edge, and contemporary minded resources, scholarship, research, course work, and relationships with traditional & urban youth workers who work within a variety of settings that engage today’s youth and adolescent culture.

We will do this through:

  • Resources and Training in the form of workshops, audio downloads and other resources.
  • Consulting via technology or visit.
  • Networking and Connections through our partnerships throughout the United States.
