Alumni Profile: Jessica Michelini
Jessica currently serves as lead community service officer supervisor with the College of Lake County Police Department. She wanted to complete her degree to stand out from competitors for potential job positions. “My degree will help my career by allowing me to advance in becoming a law enforcement officer,” Jessica says.
She believes that the firsthand experience of North Park’s faculty allowed her to see what her career could hold. “The best part about the criminal justice major was interacting with the current and retired law enforcement personnel I had as my instructors,” Jessica says. “Being able to hear real-life advice from people who have been in the situations we discussed in class means more than any simple, written scenario could explain.”
Jessica sees completion of her degree as a necessary step toward achieving her goals and dreams. “The School of Adult Learning gave me the knowledge about the career path I’ve chosen to become the best officer I can be,” she says.
