Admission Process

Step One

Decide upon a grade and subject area for certification before submitting your application for Admission to the School of Education. This allows us to better evaluate how long your program will take.

Step Two

Complete the Application for Graduate Studies and submit it to the Admissions Office.

Step Three

Distribute the three letters of recommendation forms to individuals who can comment upon your academic and/or professional work. Upon completion, recommendations should be returned directly to the admissions office in the business envelopes provided.

Step Four

Contact all colleges and universities previously attended and request that they submit official transcripts directly to the admissions office. Note: Transcripts are regarded as official only if they arrive to North Park in the same sealed envelope they were issued. Upon receipt of all materials, the applicant's file will be reviewed by an admissions committee and an admissions decision will be rendered. All documents submitted become the property of North Park University and cannot be returned to the student at any time.

While you wait for your application to be processed, you can make an appointment to meet with the School of Education admissions counselor or an advisor to discuss your transcript evaluation and to plan your academic program.
