Early Childhood

In the Early Childhood program, you learn how to help young children develop their language, motor, and social skills. Courses provide training in infant and child development, principles and practices of play, language development, and age-appropriate instructional strategies. At North Park, clinical experiences provide the opportunities to put your knowledge into action in actual classrooms.

The Early Childhood program is designed for students who are planning to teach children from birth to age 8 and leads to a type 04 initial teaching certificate in the State of Illinois.
