Music Audition Workshop
Your audition is the first step toward success in any music program. Let the North Park University School of Music help you prepare for this important step.
Saturday, November 8, 2014
9:00 am to 4:00 pm
North Park's music faculty has designed this workshop for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in auditioning for college and university music programs. Students participating in the workshop will not only walk away with a lot of useful information about the entire audition process, but also helpful comments from seasoned music professionals, and a DVD recording of their trial audition.
At the Music Audition Workshop students will:
- Learn what university music programs are looking for in music students
- Learn how to prepare for an audition and for music study
- Receive critique from seasoned music professionals
- Gain confidence to approach future auditions
- Get valuable audition experience
The workshop is open to voice, piano, string, woodwind, brass, percussion, and guitar students, and will take place on campus at North Park University.
Participants should prepare audition repertoire that meets the requirements for North Park University's School of Music audition requirements. Review these requirements for all vocal and instrumental students. (Please note: participation in the Audition Workshop does not qualify as an audition for North Park's music programs or scholarships.)
The cost of registration for the Music Audition Workshop is $25; pay and register online using the link below. Registration includes the workshop, a DVD of the student's audition, and lunch.
