International Students
Graduate Nursing Program Applicants
Due to state licensing requirements and federal restrictions that prevent international students (F1 Visa-holders) from working at clinical sites, the School of Nursing is not able to accept applications to graduate and post-graduate programs from international students.
BS Completion Program Applicants
International students (F1 Visa-holders) who have completed an associate degree in nursing in the United States, hold an RN license to practice in Illinois, and wish to transfer to North Park to complete their baccalaureate need to submit the following, in addition to general admission requirements:
- Completed Financial Resources Statement
- Bank statement, showing available funds for school and living expenses
- Clear copy of passport photo page
- Clear copy of passport visa page
- Copy of I-94 form
- Copy of past I-20 forms
- Copy of EAD, if applicable
- Home country contact information
- Immunization record
If the applicant has completed studies outside of the United States, an evaluation of foreign transcripts by Educational Credential Evaluators or World Education Services is also needed to comply with admission requirements to the BS completion program at North Park University.
English Language Proficiency
International students must demonstrate adequate fluency in English by providing official scores of a standardized language test, such as TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). International students who have completed studies at another college or university within the U.S. may not need to submit TOEFL scores.
