Nursing Degree Completion for RNs Admission Requirements
Completed Application
The application form is available online.
Registered Nurse
Applicants to the RN to BS and RN to MS Programs must hold a valid Illinois RN license.
Transfer Grade Point Average (GPA)
Candidates must have acheived a cumulative transfer GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.0 for RN to BS applicants and 3.0 out of 4.0 for RN to MS applicants. North Park University will calculate this cumulative transfer GPA for coursework determined to be eligible for transfer according the University's transfer credit policies.
Official Transcripts
Candidates must submit official transcripts from all higher education schools attended, not just the most recent school attended nor just the school where a previous degree was conferred. Transcripts are only considered official when they are sealed and sent directly to North Park University from another school.
For student convenience, we will accept unofficial file copies of your transcript documents in order to jump-start the evaluation process. Copies and faxes are not considered official transcripts. Eventually students will need official copies of these documents on file at North Park in order to transfer any credits.
Applicants who have completed coursework outside of the U.S. must follow
specific instructions
for submitting transcript evaluation reports in lieu of original transcript documents.
Enrollment Status
All candidates for the RN to BS and RN to MS programs are given permission to enroll as students-at-large during their initial semester of coursework and are not eligilble for full admission to the School of Nursing until after the completion of at least one full semester of classes at North Park University. Application files must be complete prior to the end of a student's first semester in order to be reviewed and considered for full admission to the School of Nursing.
