Nursing Degree Completion for RNs Admission Requirements

Completed Application

The application form is available online.

Registered Nurse

Applicants to the BS Completion Program must hold a valid Illinois RN license.

Transfer Grade Point Average (GPA)

Candidates for the BS Completion program must have achieved a cumulative transfer GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.0 to be admitted in the major in nursing. North Park University will calculate this cumulative transfer GPA for coursework determined to be eligible for transfer according to the University's transfer credit policies.

Official Transcripts

Candidates must submit official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended, not just the most recent school attended nor just the school where a previous degree was conferred. Transcripts are only considered official when they are sealed and sent directly to North Park University from another school.

Copies and faxes are not considered official transcripts. Students need official copies of these documents on file at North Park in order to transfer any credits.

Applicants who have completed coursework outside of the U.S. must follow specific instructions for submitting transcript evaluation reports in lieu of original transcript documents.

Enrollment Status

All candidates for the BS Completion program (RN to BS) are given permission to enroll as a student-at-large during their initial semester of coursework and are not eligible for full admission to the School of Nursing until after successful completion of NURS 3210, Concepts of Professional Nursing, and after a comprehensive revision of the student's complete application file. In addition, admission to the School of Nursing requires a cumulative GPA of 2.75/4.0 or above.
