Graduate Nursing: Leadership and Management
Description
Through the Leadership and Management concentration of the master’s in nursing degree, graduate students focus on the essential principles of the nursing management role. This program prepares professionals to lead teams and develop strategy for offering nursing services in a health care setting. Students who select the Leadership and Management concentration take elective courses through the School of Business and Nonprofit Management at North Park University, a recognized national leader in nonprofit management best practices, and networking.
Upon successful completion of this concentration, graduates are well-prepared for leadership and management positions in a variety of settings—from community-based and other types of organizational settings to acute care management.

Electives
A total of 8 semester hours will be chosen from an approved list of nursing or business courses taught by the School of Business and Nonprofit Management. These classes can be taken online or on campus. A list of approved electives is available from the School of Nursing. Applicability of other graduate courses will be considered on a case by case basis.
