How did you hear about North Park?
I grew up in a surrounding neighborhood and played in several basketball tournaments here at North Park.
What was your transfer experience like?
Was anything particularly difficult?
I struggled with working out my financial aid, and I also had to deal with the burden of getting my transcripts from a school that was hundreds of miles away.
What activities do you enjoy here at North Park?
I enjoy playing on the Viking basketball team and intramural (IM) volleyball.
What is your favorite North Park sports team?
The basketball team.
What is your favorite place on campus?
Carlson Gymnasium
What is one interesting thing you would like to share about yourself?
I'm obsessed with corn!
What are your plans after graduation?
I would like to play basketball overseas and then begin my business career 4 to 5 years later.
Do you have any advice for other transfer students?
- Focus on developing friendships and be sure to choose your friends wisely.
- To be successful at North Park you have to be persistent, have a strong work ethic, and focus on time management.
- Knowing what your responsibilities are in and out of the classroom will allow for you to budget your time appropriately and take care of everything.
- I would encourage people to choose their majors based off of their interests and what they enjoy.
