Andrew Lundgren began his tenure at North Park in 1996 in the capacity of Head Athletic Trainer. At this time, the school only employed one certified athletic trainer. As a result, he was jointly responsible for both the healthcare of North Park's NCAA Division III student-athletes and the education of the students enrolled in the athletic training major.

During the summer of 2000, Lundgren accepted the position of Athletic Training Program Director in order to focus entirely on the education of students enrolled in the Athletic Training Educational Program (ATEP). Lundgren's main responsibility is the continual development and daily operations of the educational program. As a result of this work, North Park's ATEP was granted (and maintains) accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

In North Park's present curriculum, Lundgren instructs numerous courses including Introduction to Athletic Training, Orthopedic Assessment I & II, Prevention & Care of Athletic Injuries, Athletic Training Administration, Sports Psychology, and the Senior Seminar course. Lundgren additionally provides athletic training coverage to the men's soccer team in the fall.

Lundgren received a BS degree in Athletic Training from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. Additionally, he earned a MA in Education from North Park University. He is both a Licensed and a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Professionally, Lundgren's experiencing include working in both the high school and clinical settings. Prior to North Park, he served as Head Athletic Trainer at Willowbrook High School in Willowbrook, IL. He was also a clinical certified athletic trainer at Callaway Physical Therapy in Elmhurst, IL. All of this contributed to his experiences in educating collegiate athletic training students since 1995.

Kelly Potteiger graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness Management. Upon receiving her degree from MSU, Potteiger attended the University of North Texas where she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the women’s soccer team. After graduating from UNT with a Master of Science in Kinesiology, she began work as an Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. After just two years at Midwestern, she was promoted to Athletic Training Educational Program Coordinator, where she led the program through CAAHEP accreditation. Potteiger moved to Chicago in 2005 where she worked at Robert Morris College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Potteiger is new to North Park in 2007, as the Clinical Coordinator of Athletic Training Education. Her responsibilities in this position include teaching Therapeutic Exercise, Therapeutic Modalities, and senior level practicum courses as well as overseeing athletic training duties for the indoor and outdoor track teams.
