Students returning from an international education program often experience a variety of conflicting emotions and may not know how to ask for assistance transitioning back into their home culture. 

We recommend that you check out "Surviving Re-Entry: A Handbook for Parents of Study Abroad Students Returning Home." This publication is distributed electronically by World Learning and SIT Study Abroad Programs. Although North Park does not work with SIT Study Abroad Programs and some of the details mentioned in the parent handbook may not apply to your child, we believe it is a valuable resource.
