Study Abroad Programs
Chicago is a great place to get a college education. In fact, Foreign Policy magazine has rated it #2 worldwide just behind London among the best cities in which to study. And it's true: you can have truly global experiences right here, with Chicago's incredible cultural diversity and world-class arts venues.
But there's nothing like studying abroad to broaden the mind. North Park students have many such opportunities — both semester-long and sort-term, which you can explore on this page. Fully 23% of recent graduates have studied or served abroad during their North Park years.

Opportunities
Each fall, approximately 15 North Parkers participate in our long-running exchange with the Södra Vätterbygdens Folkhögskola (SVF) in Jönköping, Sweden, along with 15 Swedish students. For the spring semester, all 30 return to Chicago together.
If you've completed a year of college-level Spanish, you can participate in our special program in Morelia, in the central highlands of Mexico. We pair intensive study in Spanish language and Mexican culture with travel and service opportunities, while living with local families.
As a North Park University student, you can take advantage of one of our eleven direct-exchange programs with universities in seven countries from Argentina to Korea.
Through North Park, you have access to 140 global universities via ISEP. Not only that, but the University in turn receives students from various ISEP schools, resulting in an international community right here on campus in Chicago.
Join peers from other institutions in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) to study around the globe — from Australia and China to Oxford and Uganda. Domestic programs are also available in fields including contemporary music and journalism.
University Ministries (North Park's campus ministry) leads cross-cultural experiences that expand your faith, awareness of the world, and commitment to a lifestyle of justice. Partnership trips go out during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
