College Credits Earned in High School
Some high schools have developed relationships with colleges or universities that allow college credit to meet high school graduation requirements. Students wishing to enter North Park University with such credit may apply for admission as a first-year student or as a transfer student.
Entering as a First-Year Student
The subject matter and course level must conform to North Park University’s policy for any college course. The college credit must be granted by a regionally accredited college or university. The credit must be recorded on an official college or university transcript. If transferable, the final courses up to the last 16 college credit hours will be evaluated and accepted as college level transfer credit, according to North University’s guidelines and policies.
For purposes of admission and financial aid, including academic scholarships, the student will be considered a first-year student at the university regardless of the amount of credit transferred.
