To prepare students for lives of significance and service.
Since 1891, this is what North Park University has done. It is our mission. This is what we want to be known for, a long journey in the same direction.
Significance suggests that some things matter more than others. It implies decisions made on the basis of values. At North Park, students have opportunity to develop a set of values that are rooted in the rich tradition of the Christian academic community — values which will guide a person into a life of significance.
Service is in the North Park DNA. Students often choose North Park because of its reputation for service. We believe that learning is most noble when used to benefit others. Every year students engage in service in Chicago, throughout the United States, and internationally on five continents.
We are looking for young men and women who want to live a life:
- that matters,
- that counts for a purpose larger than themselves,
- that will benefit humanity and this planet we inhabit.
Put another way, a life in which you will:
- Do justice,
- love kindness, and
- walk with God.
We will help prepare you for such a life. About this we are passionate.
