Group Visits
North Park University offers three types of group visits. Please consider your options and then, if you like, submit a group visit request using the form below.
Option A: Exploring North Park University
If your group consists of students in grades 9 through 12 who are specifically interested in exploring North Park University as a potential college, this is the program for your group. The visit begins at either 9:00 am, 11:00 am, or 2:15 pm and includes a brief presentation about the University, a campus tour, and with the 11:00 option, lunch in our dining hall (during the regular academic year). Please note that group visits are not available on Wednesdays at 11:00 am due to our University chapel schedule. The entire visit experience is approximately 2½ hours. It's easy to schedule your visit using the form below. Please note that we cannot host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.
(School counselors seeking to visit without their students should visit the School Counselor Visits page.)
Option B: College Readiness Program
This program is appropriate for students in grades 9 through 12, although it is primarily intended for those who are first-generation college students or as an initial exploration of college preparation. The program is designed around a 45-minute workshop that introduces students to the terminology and processes of higher education. It covers topics such as:
- how best to prepare for college
- how to select the right college
- how to fund a college education
- the basics of the college admission process
The program is most appropriate for those visiting campus as part of a community-based organization or those participating in a specific college-preparatory program within their school (e.g., AVID, TRIO, Upward Bound, college bridge initiatives, etc.). The visit begins at 10:30 am (except on Wednesdays due to our chapel schedule) and includes the workshop, a campus tour, and lunch in our dining hall (during the regular academic year). It's easy to
schedule your visit using the form below. Please note that we cannot host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.
Option C: Church Youth Group or Student Missions Team
If you are a church or community-based ministry that is interested in visiting North Park University or Chicago with a group of pre-college students, this may be the best option for your group. The University is willing to provide housing for out-of-state groups for up to six nights, with a modest fee being applied after the third night: $10 per person, up to a maximum of $60 per night for the group. The visit begins at 11:00 am (except on Wednesdays due to our chapel schedule) and includes a brief presentation about the University, a campus tour, and lunch in our dining hall (during the regular academic year). It's easy to schedule your visit using the form below. Please note that we cannot host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.
Important Information
Although we try to accommodate all group visit requests, we are not able to offer variations in the program options for your visit. In order to request a group visit to the University, all groups must submit the online request form immediately below. A minimum of two weeks' notice is required for groups of 50 or fewer students, and one month for groups over 50. Due to space, staffing, and budgetary limitations, we cannot accommodate all group visit requests; they will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Given the high demand for group visits, we cannot accommodate elementary school groups. Also, please note that we cannot host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.
