Paul Brenegan

Head Men's Basketball Coach / Head Men's Golf Coach

Paul Brenegan enters his 12th year as the head coach of the North Park University men’s golf team. Coach Brenegan has rejuvenated the Viking golf program and led them to several great seasons. Brenegan’s teams have continually set school records including best record (95-25), lowest scoring average (308.3), lowest round in conference tournament (299), lowest single day team total (293), and lowest two day tournament total (596). In the past seven seasons, Coach Brenegan has produced nine all-conference performers in the prestigious College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Coach Brenegan has continually proved that the North Park golf program is a contender in the CCIW and will continue to show it’s ability to gain national prominence.

Seth Awes enters his first year as an Assistant Coach of both the men’s and women’s golf programs. No stranger to the Viking program, Awes was a four-year letter winner, helping the men’s golf team to two third place CCIW conference finishes. Awes graduated from North Park in 2004 with a degree in Marketing. Prior to North Park, Awes enjoyed a stellar prep career in Minnesota. He lettered at the high school level as a 7th grader, and has an Individual Conference Championship for Edina High School in Edina, Minnesota to his credit. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is working on a Master's in Nonprofit Administration in North Park's SBNM Graduate Program.
