Jacobson earns CCIW Player of the Week honor

CHICAGO, IL (November 3, 2009) – North Park women’s soccer player Ashley Jacobson earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week honors Tuesday.

Jacobson, a junior goalkeeper from Washington, Ill., and Washington High School, closed out her junior season with her sixth shutout of the season, a 5-0 victory against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on October 27. Jacobson made six saves in the contest and allowed only one goal in her final three games. She is a Youth Ministry major.

North Park finished the season with a 7-11 overall record, the most wins under third-year coach Troy Edwards.
