Chris Edquist

Head Coach

Chris Edquist enters his first year with the Viking golf program.  No stranger to the university, Edquist attended North Park and was a four-year member of the Viking basketball program.  He served as the team’s captain and earned the prestigious Reed Larson Team Spirit Award his senior season in 2004.  He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Vikings’ program.  He spent the previous three years working as an undergraduate admission counselor for North Park, giving him an innate sense of the recruitment process.  Edquist carries a passion for the university and is striving to build a program that will be a contender in the prestigious College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin for many years to come.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities with the women’s golf program, Edquist also serves as the assistant coach for the men’s basketball program and is currently completing his Master’s in Business Administration at North Park.

Contact Coach Awes

Seth Awes enters his first year at North Park as an Assistant Coach of both the men’s and women’s Golf programs after a successful playing career with the Vikings.  Awes was a four-year letter winner, helping the men’s golf team to two third-place CCIW conference finishes.  Awes graduated from North Park in 2006 with a degree in Marketing. 

Prior to North Park, Awes enjoyed a stellar prep career in Minnesota.  He lettered at the high school level as a 7th grader, and has an Individual Conference Championship from Edina High School in Edina, Minnesota to his credit.  In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is working on a Master's in Nonprofit Administration in North Park's SBNM Graduate Program.
