Buying the Vote
Marketing, Politics, and Manipulation
Tuesday, October 30
Brandel Library, second floor
Are you an undecided voter? If so, $500,000,000 have been spent on political ads trying to convince you that Mitt Romney or Barack Obama is the better choice. How are the presidential candidates marketed? How do the ad-makers know which voters to target, and what tactics do they employ to ensure that the messages resonate with the American public?
Join Dr. Joseph Alulis and Dr. Victoria Nelson as they go behind the scenes of the 2012 political ads. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session open to all attendees.
Snacks will be served. This is a Brandel LEAD event.
