Academic Leave from North Park

Students may interrupt their education at North Park University for a period of no more than two consecutive terms by completing an academic leave form with the Office of Student Administrative Services. This form requires a signature from the Financial Aid Office, Dean of Students, Student Administrative Services, and Housing Office, if applicable. On the form, you will need to indicate the term in which you plan to return to the University. The form can be downloaded from this webpage and is also available in the Office of Student Administrative Services. If you are planning to withdraw after the start of a semester, it is recommended that you review the refund policy on the Student Accounts webpage.

The catalog requirements under which a student initially entered the University will continue to apply to students who either maintain continuous enrollment or who file for a leave of absence.

If a student is absent from the University for one year or more, an application for readmission must be made to North Park through the Office of Student Enrichment Services and Support. The catalog under which a student is readmitted to the University will govern the graduation requirements for that student.
