Additional Support Services
Counseling Support Services offers assessment interviews for the following areas of concern:
- Substance abuse
- Eating disorders
Assessments usually consist of having an interview with a counselor regarding the concern. A follow-up session may be required for additional feedback.
Educational Programs and Events
Counseling Support Services staff works with the Office of Student Care to provide education about mental health issues and promote personal growth and wellness. We are available to provide programs at the request of student groups, staff, and faculty.
Lending Library is located in Counseling and Health Services. Students may check out books on various physical and mental health issues.
Referrals to off-campus (including out-of-state) services, those with reduced and/or low fees, and those accessible by public transportation are available. We offer referrals when students prefer off-campus services, when there is a waiting list, and when students are in need of more specialized services than we offer.
