Applying for Scholarships and North Park Grants

Degree-Seeking Students

Academic Scholarships

• Nyvall and Lund scholarships are awarded automatically based on your previous academic record

Presidential or Mosaic Leadership Scholarships

• To apply for either of these scholarships, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).*  North Park's school code is 001735.
• In addition, you must complete the appropriate application form and essays for the Presidential Scholarship or the Mosaic Leadership Scholarship by April 15 (fall admission) or November 15 (spring admission).

North Park Grants:

• Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).*  North Park's school code is 001735.

Church Matching Grant:

• Have your church submit the Church Matching Grant form and payment to the North Park Financial Aid Office.

Federal Loans

• If you enroll in at least four credit hours per semester, you will be eligible to borrow federal loan funds after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

*International Students: Instead of completing the FAFSA, please complete the International Student Financial Resources Form.

North Park Grants

• Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).*  North Park's school code is 001735.

Church Matching Grant

• Have your church send the Church Matching Grant form and payment to the North Park Financial Aid Office.

*International Students: Instead of completing the FAFSA, please complete the International Student Financial Resources Form.

How Scholarships and Grants are Awarded

• After you have been accepted, we have received your FAFSA, and any other scholarship application(s), the Office of Seminary Admission will review your application(s), including your academic record, recommendations, written materials you submitted. Based on that review, we will prepare a financial aid package for you. If you decide not to accept it, we may offer the funding to another student.
• While you may request to defer your admission, scholarships and grants are offered for a particular start date and may not be deferred. If you defer your admission, you may reapply for scholarships and grants for the new start date.
• You will have three weeks to accept or reject your financial aid award.

Deadlines

Application for Admission

• March 31 priority deadline for summer and fall starts
• October 15 priority deadline for January starts

Application for Financial Aid

Submission of FAFSA, scholarship applications

• April 15 priority deadline for summer and fall starts 
• November 1 priority deadline for January starts
• Applications submitted after the priority deadlines will be subsequently considered in light of available funding.

Presidential and Mosaic Leadership Scholarships

• April 15 for summer and fall starts
• November 1 for January starts

Acceptance of Financial Aid Offer

• Three weeks after financial aid package is issued
• Acceptance of financial aid package is indicated by making a tuition deposit, which confirms your intention to enroll at North Park for the term for which you were admitted.
