Resources for Possible Tax Benefits

Many North Park students and their parents will qualify for education-related tax benefits. While North Park University does not provide personal tax advice, here are some resources from the IRS which may be beneficial.

The American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) is available for the 2013 tax year. The maximum tax credit is $2,500 per student. To take advantage of this credit, complete tax form 8863 and include with your 1040 tax filing for the 2013 year. There are certain income limits and other stipulations, so please consult the IRS and/or your tax professional if you need assistance.
