Transforming students to impact the world for God

At North Park, we come from various backgrounds and beliefs, yet we share at least two common desires: to become all that we were created to be and to make a difference in the world.

As an educational partner in the North Park community, the Department of University Ministries exists to help students integrate their faith in God with the way they learn and live.

We understand this process of spiritual formation as an amazing though often messy journey, where we enter at different places, grow at various paces, and each walk a unique road with our Creator. Our intention is for the relationships we develop and the experiences we share together to help transform us and impact the world for God. The goal is not a finished product or picture of perfection, but a way of living, most beautifully exemplified for us by Jesus Christ. It is a life realized both individually and communally as we understand our identity, grow in our character and put our faith into action.

The University Ministries (UMin) staff works to create environments and experiences that are conducive to this transformation: personal yet shared, relevant while counter-cultural, meaningful but challenging. Together we take part in programs and activities that shape who we are and what we are about in the world. Relationships are at the core of what we do... walking together with students as we humbly learn to walk with God.

Through communal worship and urban service opportunities, small groups and social justice initiatives, global partnerships and racial reconciliation, we seek to live out the Kingdom mission of Jesus... becoming all we were created to be and making a difference in this world.

Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to join us. We are convinced that the relationships you develop here and the experiences we have together will enhance your faith and prepare you for a life of significance and service.
