Helwig Recreation Center

North Park University’s Helwig Recreation Center offers students, faculty, and staff opportunities for sport, recreation, fitness, and wellness. Helwig is also home to training and clinical facilities for the Vikings intercollegiate teams and the University’s Athletic Training Educational Program. The wellness and recreation staff also assist in coordinating a wide range of group fitness and wellness opportunities, including intramural sports; our cheer, dance, and step teams; group fitness classes, and wellness challenges.

Helwig Recreation Center is a 68,000-square-foot facility that includes a 200-meter, two-lane indoor running track; two basketball and three volleyball courts; a 35-yard turf surface; batting cages; a climbing wall; a two-level fitness area; classrooms and offices. Learn more
