Instructor: Ann Pinkney, Marketing Communications Director, Metropolitan Family Services

In a world filled with organizations and causes striving for attention, you need to set yourself apart from the pack. As communications channels grow at breakneck speed—spanning the web, TV, radio, print, outdoor and more—developing and using a communications plan is essential to establishing a strong brand identity among audiences, from donors to the general public. But how do you start? What do you need to consider? What questions do you need to ask? How do you develop a plan that meets your needs and generates results? This session will address these questions and more. Learn key “things to know” such as who you and your competitors are; what are your budget, goals, and strategies; whose support you need to secure; and what communications channels are available. Listen to examples that explain what is required for successful campaigns. Get valuable advice through a Q&A session, and get insights on fleshing out your own communications plan.
