Computer Services | Clean Access

In order to connect to the network, all campus computers must connect through Clean Access/NAC. To ensure that computers accessing the North Park network are as safe and secure as possible, the Clean Access agent first authenticates who is accessing the network (using your North Park username@northpark.edu and password), and then it scans computers to certify that they meet minimum system, security, and configuration requirements (up-to-date anti-virus software as well as the latest security patches). When it finds requirements that are not met, the Clean Access agent provides information and links to help you meet each requirement.

Antivirus Information

Cisco Clean Access/NAC Agent requires that Windows be up to date with all security patches applied and that you have updated antivirus software installed. North Park University recommends McAfee, Norton and AVG Antivirus software.

If you do not have an antivirus program installed, launch your browser (Firefox, IE, etc). You will be redirected to the North Park Clean Access/NAC login screen. Rather than log in, go directly to:

Download and install whichever antivirus you would like to have on your computer and make sure to run an update after the install to get current virus definitions. If the Clean Access/NAC Agent is already installed on your machine, you can launch it and log in. If it is not installed, open up your browser and you will be redirected to the North Park Clean Access/NAC login screen. Log in and you will be directed to download the Agent.
