March 23 and 24, 2012

Engaging faith and practice for the cause of justice

Led by theologians, teachers, and activists from across the country, participants at this two-day event explored how to engage people in ministries of compassion and mercy, challenge policies through advocacy and community organizing, and partner with programs and projects of community-based organizations for the sake of Christ and his kingdom.

The North Park Justice Summit and Chicago Reload, March 23 and 24, was a weekend packed full of inspiring speakers, networking, and digging deeply into what it means to seek justice in and for our world. Dr. Cornel West delivered the highlight of the weekend in the form of a rousing commentary on Christianity, love, and justice. "Justice is what love looks like in public," West told the crowded room — a challenge for all participants to take back to their communities.

We invite you to browse the resources below to get a glimpse of what the 900-plus attendees experienced at the event, including videos of several general session speakers and the opportunity to purchase audio versions of workshop sessions.
