Groundbreaking Celebration Photos

North Park University's groundbreaking celebration on Friday, October 26, 2012, officially marked the beginning of the construction phase for the Nancy and G. Timothy Johnson Center for Science and Community Life. The day featured a festive outdoor gathering for the whole community, culminating with greetings from Dr. Tim and Nancy Johnson, Dr. David Parkyn, president of North Park, and David Helwig, chair of North Park's board of trustees.

Following the outdoor portion, several hundred gathered for an evening dinner reception and attended the School of Music's fall choral concert. Also joining the festivities were a group of future North Park students who will be studying sciences in the Johnson Center.
