North Park to Host Seventh Annual "Reload" Urban Youth Worker Conference
Efrem Smith will be the featured speaker
March 3, 2011 (Chicago) — The Center for Youth Ministry Studies at North Park University will host the seventh annual Chicago “Reload: An Urban Youth Worker Training Experience” on Saturday, April 2, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. The cost is $25 and details can be found at www.northpark.edu/reload.
Reload is a day of training, worship, soul care, and rejuvenation to reload your spirit. Designed for urban youth workers, it has expanded to provide something for everyone who is involved in youth work. Youth pastors, senior pastors, teachers, parents, primary caregivers, social workers, foster parents, nonprofit workers, and other youth workers will be in attendance.
Reload features a general session with energetic worship and a message to fill your soul and rejuvenate urban youth workers. The featured speaker will be Efrem Smith, author of Jump: Into a Life of Further and Higher, and Raising Up Young Heroes.
Pastor Phil Jackson of Lawndale Community Church, the House Covenant Church, and Firehouse Community Arts Center says, “Reload is a pivotal urban youth training worker and youth leader conference in Chicago. It’s the premiere training in Chicago for youth workers and youth leaders. It’s a must in order to be aware of cutting edge trends in youth ministry and foundational tools for longevity in urban youth ministry.”
Pastor David Byrd of the Apostolic Church of God says, “Reload is a great opportunity for youth workers to refresh personally, reenergize their team, reassess their ministry, and reconfirm their commitment of ministering to young people while hearing a Word from the Lord with like minded individuals.”
