Snow Closes Campus
Classes and University offices closed Tuesday night and Wednesday
CHICAGO – February 1, 2011 –
Update: Please see our announcement about the reopening of campus.
We have determined that North Park University, at all of our Chicago-area locations, will close as of 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 1, through Wednesday, February 2. No classes will meet during this period, and campus offices will be closed.
Faculty and staff should use their discretion to leave campus and return home safely following this announcement. Students should check Blackboard and email to determine the most up-to-date status of their classes for the remainder of the day on Tuesday, February 1.
Students enrolled in North Park University classes at the University Center of Lake County (UCLC) should check the UCLC website for more detailed updates about that location.
Stay posted to the following channels for Thursday information.
- North Park’s homepage
- the University’s phone, email, and text-message emergency-notification system
- email subscriptions
- major media outlets, including radio and TV
- social media, including Facebook and Twitter
For North Park students, the University will be closed, with the following exceptions:
Helwig Recreation Center will be open as planned for regular hours Tuesday, February 1, and Wednesday, February 2
- Our campus dining service will be maintaining its usual meal schedule
Brandel Library will remain open until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, and will be open as scheduled on Wednesday, February 2
