Boston Globe Features Les Olson and Profiles the "Life of an Educator"

features an article titled "Westborough educator to lead Stoneham schools," profiling Dr. Leslie E. Olson C'76, the newly appointed superintendent of Stoneham Public Schools in Stoneham, Mass.
The article describes Olson's journey from an English/philosophy double major at North Park College to pursuit of a teaching degree at Brown University, a master's in business administration at Northeastern, and a doctorate in education at Boston University. Assistant superintendent of schools in Westborough, Mass. for the past 14 years, Olson will become superintendent at Stoneham as of July 1.

Olson and his wife, Dorothy, an educator herself, live in Newton, Mass. and have two grown children. Les is the son of Roy C'44 S'48 and Helen (Wallin) C'44 Olson of Skokie, Ill.
