Christianity Today Publishes Article by Professor McKnight as Cover Story
CHICAGO, IL (April 13, 2010) – Friday’s Christianity Today features as the cover story an article by Professor Scot McKnight, titled “The Jesus We’ll Never Know.” Examining “why scholarly attempts to discover the ‘real’ Jesus have failed—and why that’s a good thing,” McKnight introduces the article with an anecdote from his teaching at North Park University:
“On the opening day of my class on Jesus of Nazareth, I give a standardized psychological test divided into two parts. The results are nothing short of astounding.”
Professor McKnight teaches Biblical and Theological Studies at North Park. This achievement is one in a series of McKnight’s noteworthy teaching experiences and honors on campus and beyond, including a national radio appearance, a Chicago Tribune interview, and a Best of Christian Press award.
