North Park Jazz Musicians Recognized

Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo Perform at Elmhurst Jazz Festival

CHICAGO (March 10, 2010) – The Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo from the North Park University School of Music performed at the Elmhurst Jazz Festival on Friday, February 26. After two successful performances, Outstanding Musician awards were presented to three North Park students:

Darrin Leer - flugelhorn from the Jazz Combo
Brendan Forrest - guitar from the Jazz Ensemble
Anders Nordstrom - bass from the Jazz Ensemble

Both groups perform under the direction of Dr. Joe Lill. This was North Park University's tenth appearance at the festival.
