Field Education Requirements

For students beginning prior to Fall 2011

Students who began their studies at North Park Theological Seminary prior to Fall 2011 should follow these guidelines for their field education requirement.

The master of divinity (MDiv) degree requires 48 field education credits:

34 or 40 credits earned through internship experience
6 or 12 credits earned through CPE
2 credits earned through the Theological Reflection Module

The master of arts in Christian formation (MACF) and master of arts in Christian ministry (MACM) degrees each require 24 field education credits:

22 credits earned through internship experience (aligned with chosen degree concentration)
2 credits earned through the Theological Reflection Module

Please note that students beginning in Fall 2011 or later should follow the new field education requirements outlined in the new NPTS catalog.
