Suggested Course Sequence

The master of arts in Christian formation can be completed in two years of full-time study. Some requirements, such as internships, may need to be completed over summers, and you may also opt to take courses in the intensive terms. For full-time students, we suggest the following course sequence to complete your degree in two years, in fall and spring semesters of each year.

Options also exist for part-time and distance-learning students. Learn more about the variety of course formats and options for extending your program beyond four years.

Courses marked with an asterisk (*) are suggested for students who will seek Ordination to Word and Service in the Evangelical Covenant Church. While not required, it is highly recommended that you to complete this sequence while you are a student at North Park Theological Seminary. Ordination to Word and Service in the ECC requires at least 60 credit hours of graduate-level theological education.
