Chapel

Chapel services at North Park Theological Seminary provide a central time of worship that allows students, faculty and staff to be formed by the Word of God and by the sacraments. Services are planned by the Chapel committee, and are usually led by a variety of students, faculty, pastors and staff. Missionaries, evangelists, pastors or scholars may preach or lead worship.

Worship

Worship includes elements of many worship traditions and often combines the creative, traditional, contemporary and liturgical. Ecumenical students and professors contribute to the rich mix, centered on Scripture and the Lord's table. Featured music may include hymns, a worship band, the North Park University Gospel Choir, or the bluegrass of the "Lonesome Theologians." Art, drama and other worship arts are often a part of the services.

Chapel services follow a thematic pattern of Gathering, Proclaiming and Communing and occur at 9:30 each Monday and Thursday of the academic year in Isaacson Chapel. For a weekly schedule please consult this week's Nyvall News.
