Bible Exam

Seminary students are expected to bring with them a background in basic biblical knowledge. The that end, degree-seeking students are required to pass a Bible Exam before their Degree Candidacy Evaluation. This 30 question exam tests knowledge of people, places, dates, books and selected scripture passages. It is administered online  and students will be given access to test preparation through Bible Tutor, a site which prepares them for this specific exam. Students should contact Guylla Brown for current details.

MMD Assessment

Midwest Ministry Development (MMD)  comes to campus three times each year to provide a variety of assessments which help to evaluate students' psychological readiness for ministry. Assessments include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 as well as other written autobiographical, medical, theological and behavioral items. Students meet in groups and individually with the professionals from MMD to review the results of the assessments. The testing is done at the request of the Evangelical Covenant Church, for the purpose of better preparing men and women for future ministry.
