The Department of Latino Studies co-sponsors a two-month intensive study program in Latin America each spring from January to March (along with the Spanish Department and the International Office). This program pairs intensive study in Spanish language and Latin American culture with travel, service opportunities, and host family living. Language courses, literature courses, and a number of field trips are included.
For the 2011-2012 academic year, students can apply to participate in a special program in Cuenca, in the south central region of Ecuador. This opportunity is a new program that is taking the place of North Park's study abroad program in Morelia, Mexico.
